About TPCI
Turning Point Craft Initiative (TPCI) is a registered Scottish charity, set up in 2002. Its aim is to help people suffering from alcohol or drug misuse to recover.
TPCI is made up of men and women who are dedicated to this aim. We believe that everyone who has addiction problems deserves the opportunity to change their lives. We are here to offer hope, help and skills for this change to take place and begin to repair the damage caused by addiction through a skills based therapy programme.
We believe that people have the ability to change, and are entitled to a quality of life. Our aim is to support people in this change with knowledge, experience, respect and a care for peoples needs.
We believe that the misuse of alcohol or drugs is causing problems in Shetland. All at TPCI do what we do because we want to make a difference.
As a charity we are not set up to make a profit but to use all our resources to provide the best provision we can, with quality, care, respect, and the ability to treat each person as an individual at their time of need.
TPCI provides places at the Day Centre free. We are funded by Grants, Donations, Gifts and Day Centre sales.
TPCI has no wish to compete with other agencies or programmes.
It is TPCI's hope the information you find here will assist in bringing to the addicted person and their loved ones a better and fuller quality of life.
